About Stories of Art

STORIES OF ART is a London-based company that offers specialist art history one year courses, events and lectures at private members clubs in London and also online courses Live on Zoom.

Since 2017 Stories of Art which has been offering one year art history courses from Baroque to Contemporary Art at the exclusive private members clubs: Mosimann's Club, Annabel's, South Kensington Club, Marc's club and Grace Belgravia in London.

STORIES OF ART offers:

a) On-Site one year art history course from Baroque to Contemporary Art covering over 400 years of art history once a week on Thursday mornings

and

b) Live Streaming from the class online on zoom to our international audience.

Our attendees visually enter the artists' worlds, their stories and their secrets. Provoking thought, we query why deaf Goya painted himself so many times and whether Louise Bourgeois was afraid of spiders. We adventure through different time periods getting lost in the world of colour and new mediums whilst learning about some of the most prolific artists the world has ever seen. 

DINA KEMAL MARCHANT is the founder and course director of STORIES OF ART. She has worked in the art and fashion world for the last fifteen years.  She studied art history at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Christies Education and the V&A. She worked as a Business Development Director for a conceptual fashion brand Mechanical Piano.

Prior to pursuing her interest in art she worked as a Strategy Consultant at the “Big Four” management consultancy consulting firm PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) in London. She lived in Amsterdam for a year while working at the private bank ABN AMRO MeesPierson which is known for managing the assets of the Dutch royal family. She had a scholarship from the British Council to study Corporate Finance at London School of Economics and a 2nd scholarship from the US Government to study Business & Economics at Kentucky State University. She has lived in London for the last 25 years and has three children. 

STORIES OF ART combines Dina’s passion for art history and her desire to bring together like minded people who seek to learn more about the art world.
